and safety and is working to implement the National Quality Forum’s
(NQF) Safe Practices. Evidence shows that these safe practices can reduce or prevent adverse events and medical errors.

Garden City Hospital has an active multidisciplinary Patient Safety Council whose members include leadership from physicians, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, quality and risk management. The work of the council is overseen by the hospital quality committee, which reports quality and safety measures and initiatives to the quality committee of the Board of Trustees.
